On Sunday, October 17, PLG Arts presented a program featuring live drumming, the music of composer and woodwind player Mike McGinnis, dancehall and Reggae music facilitated by DJ Ayanna Heaven, and a site-specific performance of Finding Herstory, and community dance-along led by Davalois Fearon with the goal of connecting the mind, body, and spirit through Caribbean movement. The event celebrated the Caribbean heritage of Flatbush/Prospect Park Lefferts Gardens and the growing community of local artists.
