This legislative session, I was able to secure a $30,000 grant for PLG Arts to continue their community-building work. At the second annual PLG Arts Fest last weekend, I had the chance to meet with Co-Presidents Rina Kleege and Hollis Headrick, view the work of Prospect-Lefferts Garden’s creative community, and visited local art spaces Sugarcane & Cotton and Dorsey’s Fine Art Gallery, which is one of the oldest Black-owned galleries in New York City.
