PLG Arts is pleased to present Nigerian bandleader and songwriter Lorens Chuno in the PLG Arts Music Series, performing Wednesday, March 18, at Erv’s, 2122 Beekman Place, 8-10 pm. Based in New York City, his music has been featured and reviewed in AllAboutJazz.com, Jazz Corner, and the Midwest Record. He has performed at many cultural music venues in the New York tri-state area, such as the Puffin Cultural Forum, The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts and Cultural Center, and Minton’s Playhouse in Harlem.
The band’s mission is to entertain as well as educate the audience about the intersection of jazz and modern African culture, as well as current social issues.
