Friday, Sept 13, promises to be a day of good luck as we change dates and times for the Jazz@the Inkwell series. The new fall lineup begins with Kane Mathis from 7-9 pm on Friday, Sept 13.
Stop in on your way home from work and/or on your way out. You’ll hear Kane mix the rhythmic counterpoint of the kora and the sinuous melodies of the oud. With Luke Notary on percussion, the two forge into new technical and compositional territory where traditional repertoire joins modern instrumentation.
The Inkwell, 408 Rogers Avenue, between Lefferts Avenue and Sterling Street. Drinks and bar food available. $5 suggested donation supports the artists and PLG Arts.
