Don’t let Friday the 13th bug you! It’s good news for music fans, with the Vistas Quartet coming our way. We especially like it when there’s a vocalist with the group.
Vistas performs a grooving, improvised exploration of American jazz, pop, blues and gospel. This collaboration between bassist Bob Gingery and vocalist Brenda Fair presents a different take on familiar songs.
Rounded out by Leonard Thompson on piano and Joe Abba on drums, two longtime veterans of the NYC scene, the music is at once adventurous and accessible, a stirring journey through some of the best music of the last year, decade and century.
