The Park Slope Chamber Players will perform in a private home in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens as part of the ongoing PLG Arts Music Series. The group features professional musicians from Park Slope and  surrounding communities, including Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. The collective, founded by Argentine guitarist and composer Carlos Pavan, enjoys playing tangos, dances, and world music written by Pavan. They also specialize in Baroque music and can often be heard performing pieces from this era in smaller ensembles (including woodwind duos and string trios). Most recently, the group has played at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture and the Greenwood Baptist Church.

The program will include music by Pavan, Bach, Marcello, Vivaldi and more.

The Park Slope Chamber Players features: Carlos Pavan,  Artistic director/guitar/ compositions; Renia Shukis, violin; Sean Brekke, viola; Mark Humburg, cello; Frances Brodeur, flute; Nadeen Fankhauser, clarinet; Katie Scheele, oboe.

Admission is free, but space is limited and reservations are required: Please email [email protected] to RSVP. The performance address will be distributed to the RSVP list.
