Greenlight Bookstore in Prospect Lefferts Gardens
632 Flatbush Avenue (at Fenimore)
Brooklyn, NY 11225

For April, Greenlight hosts New York Writers Coalition, which empowers and enriches the lives of New Yorkers of all backgrounds and experiences through the art of creative writing, with workshops particularly targeted toward underserved people, including youth, seniors, women, LGBT communities, people living with disabilities, people who are incarcerated or have been incarcerated, and others from traditionally silenced groups.  All are welcome to attend this free and interactive event.

Greenlight’s new Civic Engagement Series takes place on the last Monday of each month and hosts nonprofit groups working in social justice, community organizing, and the arts, with the goal of providing tools for community involvement and support to those doing necessary work in our culture.  20% of all book sales on the entire day of the event will be donated to the featured organization, and an option for direct donation will be available at the event.
